The five arms have a spindle effect that is repeated in the body. The dark brown patina is in excellent shape for a fixture that is 100 years old. Very heavy chain is used to suspend this wonderful light. It is quite large at 30" diameter and would make a great Dining room hanging lamp in an Arts & Crafts house as well as other interior environments.
